After Kyra graduated from Clemson University, she attended Charleston school of law where she was a member of MALABU, the Maritime Law Bulletin, and Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society. During her 1L year, she was also awarded an esteemed externship with The Seamen’s Church Institute’s Center for Mariner’s Advocacy in New York City.
After law school, Kyra worked for over a year as a staff member on a high profile local mayoral campaign. When the election ended, Kyra started her legal career at one of the nation’s largest Plaintiff’s law firms, working on securities fraud cases, shareholder derivative suits and asbestos related illness cases.
Realizing that her ultimate calling was to be a trial lawyer, Kyra began working for South Carolina Department of Social Services in 2017. Kyra started her career with SCDSS as a county attorney and was later promoted and served as the Lowcountry Regional Trial Attorney. During Kyra’s career with SCDSS, she worked on and prosecuted complex abuse and and neglect and adult protective services cases and served as counsel for local SCDSS offices in counties throughout the Lowcountry. After several years with the State, Kyra left to return to private practice.
Kyra is a tested litigator that has tried dozens and settled hundreds of cases throughout her career. Kyra and Ted’s combined years of knowledge and expertise offer an experienced team that is not afraid to advocate and fight for their clients. Kyra's practice is devoted to litigation in several areas, including family law and personal injury. Additionally, Kyra serves as a Guardian ad Litem, representing the best interest of children in family court cases.
Kyra is also a 200-hour registered yoga teacher. Kyra is a resident of Park Circle and in her free time enjoys spending time with her family and dog, Trixie, and experiencing everything that living in Charleston has to offer.
